The MLLP’s Adrià Giménez Pastor, Joan Albert Silvestre Cerdà and Alfons Juan Ciscar delivered two presentations at the LISTEN Workshop 2018 on far-field large-vocabulary automatic speech recognition (Bonn, Germany, 17–19 July 2018), presenting our group’s recent work in speech recognition and multilingual subtitling of OER. Read here about it and check out all the presentation slides.
The article “Speaker-Adapted Confidence Measures for ASR using Deep Bidirectional Recurrent Neural Networks“, by Miguel Ángel del Agua Teba and other MLLP members, has been published as part of the July 2018 issue of the journal IEEE/ACM Transactions on Audio, Speech, and Language Processing.
MLLP member Juan Daniel Valor Miró defended successfully today his PhD thesis “Evaluation of innovative computer-assisted transcription and translation strategies for video lecture repositories” at the Universitat Politècnica de València’s Dept. of Computer Systems and Computation (DSIC).
MLLP researcher Miguel Á. del Agua Teba has been at Interspeech 2016 in San Francisco (8–12 September) to present his article on “ASR Confidence Estimation with Speaker-Adapted Recurrent Neural Networks”, and to present the MLLP’s submission to the CHiME 4 Speech Separation and Recognition Challenge (13 September). Here are his impressions after an intense conference.
