MLLP member Juan Daniel Valor Miró defended successfully today his PhD thesis “Evaluation of innovative computer-assisted transcription and translation strategies for video lecture repositories” at the Universitat Politècnica de València’s Dept. of Computer Systems and Computation (DSIC).
The MLLP’s Jorge Civera presented at IN-RED 2017, the 3rd Spanish National Conference on Educational Innovation and Online Teaching (València, 13–14 July 2017), our group’s work on voice-to-voice translation of video lectures.
The MLLP’s Joan Albert Silvestre is in Lisbon, participating in IberSPEECH 2016, one of the main international conferences in Portugal and Spain on speech and language processing and recognition, with his paper “Different Contributions to Cost-Effective Transcription and Translation of Video Lectures”.
MLLP researcher Miguel Á. del Agua Teba has been at Interspeech 2016 in San Francisco (8–12 September) to present his article on “ASR Confidence Estimation with Speaker-Adapted Recurrent Neural Networks”, and to present the MLLP’s submission to the CHiME 4 Speech Separation and Recognition Challenge (13 September).
